The Friends Book Nook is open during regular library hours. Come in to browse among thousands of deeply discounted books, DVDs, CDs, and more. You never know what bargains and treasures you may discover! Proceeds help the Friends support the Bonita Springs Library.

The Friends sponsors two Author Luncheons each year, held in January and February.  These exciting afternoons include a three-course lunch at a local Country Club, a presentation by our chosen author for that month, and book signings.

The Friends semi-annual book sales are legendary.  We offer thousands of hard cover, paperback, adult and children's books at a bargain price of $1.00 or less!  We also have a wide variety of puzzles, children's games, music CD's, books on tape and DVD's.  Our book sales are hosted in March and October/November.

The Friends 

  • sponsor cultural and musical events for children, teens and adults.
  • fund Children's Summer Reading Program.
  • distribute free books to students.
  • purchase items not covered by library budget.

We donate annually to the popular SWFL Reading Festival that is held each year in downtown Fort Myers.  The festival features national authors of all genres.
